Purpose

The Auctioneer Suite is a compilation of add-ons based on the Auctioneer core, that provide a number of enhancements and options.

Suite Contents

The add-ons below can be installed independently of Auctioneer via WoW's AddOns screen; however, all of them except SlideBar require Stubby to be installed as well.

Add-ons

  • !Swatter - is a debugging library that provides enhanced debugging information to help developers when you report bugs.
  • BeanCounter - works with Auctioneer to track the items you purchase and list for sale. The information it collects can be viewed on the BeanCounter tab of the Auction House (AH) interface
  • Enchantrix - is used to provide disenchant information on given items in the tooltip.
  • Enchantrix-Barker - allows you to advertise your enchants in Trade chat.
  • Informant - provides vendor price, availability, profession, quest, and usage information in the tooltip.
  • SlideBar - creates an expandable bar that slides out from the edge of your screen, containing links to the configuration dialogs for our add-on components.
  • Stubby - is a stub loader which allows load-on-demand add-ons to define the conditions upon which they will load.

Modules

The items below are considered by us to be Modules (though some can be selected in WoW's AddOns screen), and require Auc-Advanced to function properly.
  • Auc-ScanData - load-on-demand data store for Auctioneer's scan data.

Auctioneer Statistics

Note: Market Price is a statistically-computed, confidence-weighted average value derived from most of the statistics modules listed below. It is installed as part of the Auctioneer core, and cannot be installed separately. If you are unsure what statistic to use as your primary pricing statistic, Market Price is a good choice, as it will not be overly affected if any one statistic below does a poor job of estimating prices for some reason.
  • Auc-Stat-Classic - Deprecated in WoW Patch 3.0 Imports some of Auctioneer Classic stats into Auctioneer.
  • Auc-Stat-Histogram - Returns Median and IQR values, based upon a Histogram of pricing data. Essentially, a median value, based upon all prices ever seen; no data are ever discarded.
  • Auc-Stat-iLevel - Groups all items of same rarity, type, and iLevel together (e.g., all green weapons of iLevel 180). Useful for pricing random "of the ..." items.
  • Auc-Stat-Purchased - Tries to infer purchase prices based on items disappearing before they could have expired. (Requires more frequent scanning of the AH.)
  • Auc-Stat-Sales – Uses data from BeanCounter to display historical statistics on actual purchase and sale prices. Note that this statistic is installed with BeanCounter, and cannot be installed separately.
  • Auc-Stat-Simple - Performs simple averaging of data, providing 3-, 7-, and 14-day moving averages.
  • Auc-Stat-StdDev - Keeps the last 100 price points for an item and performs a standard deviation on the data list to exclude outliers and provide a normalized mean.
  • Auc-Stat-WOWEcon - Uses the WOWEcon add-on's data (if separately installed) to provide the price to other Auctioneer modules.

Auctioneer Filters

  • Auc-Filter-Basic - Excludes items based on quality, level, or owner.
  • Auc-Filter-Outlier - Excludes items based on price deviation, to avoid poisoning your statistic data with extreme prices.

Auctioneer Matchers

  • Auc-Match-BeanCount - Available only if the BeanCounter add-on is enabled, it will raise and lower the item's price based upon the percent of times it has sold or failed.
  • Auc-Match-Undercut - This will raise or lower the price of your items by a fixed percent or number to better match current auctions.

Auctioneer Utilities

  • Auc-Util-AHWindowControl - Provides the ability to move and resize the entire AH Window; adjust the font size used to display AH data, especially within CompactUI; protect the AH Window from being accidentally closed during configurable operations; and save settings between WoW sessions.
  • Auc-Util-Appraiser - Provides an advanced posting tab in the auction house, allowing you to post variable sized stacks of items for auction.
  • Auc-Util-AskPrice - Provides pricing data via an auto responder. This version is capable of price-swarming functionality.
  • Auc-Util-AutoMagic - Automates some repetitive tasks: selling gray or vendor-marked items, mailing items to Alts.
  • Auc-Util-CompactUI - Alters the Browse tab to be more compact (may be incompatible with other add-ons that modify the Browse tab)
  • Auc-Util-EasyBuyout - Allows one-click bids, buyouts, and cancels.
  • Auc-Util-FixAH - Corrects two small Blizzard issues. Please note that this module is intended to be temporary, and will be removed once the bugs are fixed by Blizzard.
  • Auc-Util-Glypher - Provides extended glyph management for those with the Inscription profession.
  • Auc-Util-GlypherPost - Works in concert with the Glypher module to help only post glyphs when they should be profitable.
  • Auc-Util-ItemSuggest - Makes recommendations on the most profitable use of an item.
  • Auc-Util-PriceLevel - Calculates a price level for a given item and colors AH items based upon those levels. Option to show distribution data in the tooltip when Auc-ScanData is loaded.
  • Auc-Util-ScanButton - Creates Scan, Pause, and Stop buttons in the title bar of the Browse tab.
  • Auc-Util-ScanFinish - Play sounds or does actions at the end of a scan.
  • Auc-Util-ScanProgress - Hides items in the Browse tab while scanning and replaces them with scan status text instead.
  • Auc-Util-SimpleAuction - Creates a "Post" tab for simplified auction posting with fewer configuration options.
  • Auc-Util-VendMarkup - Provides vendor-markup price data as an alternative statistic.
  • Auc-Util-SearchUI - Provides a search interface.

Other Libraries

These libraries are generally embedded inside the Modules that use them, and will not be visible on your AddOn selection screen.
  • Babylonian - Provides localization services to Auctioneer.
  • DebugLib - Provides various debugging and reporting functionality to Auctioneer.
  • Configator - Provides the ability to create our various configuration dialogs.
  • LibExtraTip - Provides the ability to create our extra Auctioneer tooltips.
  • TipHelper - Provides additional functionality to help add-ons using LipExtraTip.

Third-Party Modules

Note that these are not officially supported, but we are happy to find others making their own modules and encourage more to do so.

These modules were created by users and other fans, and are generally not available for download via our site. We provide no support for them, and cannot guarantee that they will always work with our most recent versions. We do not make any claims about the items featured here, and link them only for your convenience - there may be alternative download sites for each as well.

But we do encourage our users to try them out! One of the main benefits of Auctioneer 5.x is that the modular system allows for easy development of plug-in modules like these, to serve niche needs of our diverse community of users.

For more information about creating Modules/Plugins or standalone AddOns that work with Auctioneer, see FAQ Frequently Asked Questions , item 20.

Non-Auctioneer-Plugin Add-Ons

These add-ons are not Auctioneer modules, but they either provide some Auctioneer support, or they are frequently used by Auctioneer users to serve some Auctioneering purpose.

  • Panda Panda is a simple mod designed to speed up mass-disenchanting, prospecting, gem cutting, milling, glyphs, flasks, elixirs, and quick viewing of Auctioneer prices.
  • Skillet and LilSparky's clone of Skillet (may eventually be merged together) - Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI. The LilSparky-clone version adds some extra features and is required for the Glypher AddOn, above, to function properly.

Additionally, we have a forum set up where our team can post links to their favorite AddOns. You may find it useful.
